April 27- Tails on the Trails

Join us at Barry Platte Park from 2-4 pm with your furry friends for the Tails on the Trails event. Vendors, pet adoptions, give-aways, contests! Interested in being a vendor call 816-858-3419.

June 1 – Tour de Platte

Come biking along the beautiful trails and back roads of Platte County. The 4th annual Tour de Platte bike ride is scheduled for June 1, 2019, 8 a.m. at E.H. Young Park in Riverside, MO. Routes for cyclists of all levels will be available. The family route is 10 miles, the intermediate route is 18 miles, and the advanced route is 36 miles. 

The ride will begin and end at E.H. Young Park with a few pit stops along the way for refreshments. The Riverside Chamber of Commerce is providing end of tour refreshments and a free t-shirt to all participants. Registration for this event will start April 2nd.

June 1 – National Trails Day

Come hiking at any of Platte County’s terrific trails on National Trails Day, June 1. Bring your friends and family to enjoy the beautiful scenery our County has to offer!

June 8 - Free Fishing Day

Learn to fish at a free fishing clinic in partnership with conservation officials at Platte Ridge Park. No fishing license required; all equipment and bait provided.

June 12, 19, 26 - Summer Day Camp

For your adventurous kids 10-12 years old. We are offering fishing, kayak instruction and a float trip for 3 consecutive Wednesdays in June. More information coming soon.

July 13 - Canoe/Kayak Instructional Event

Start floating at Guy B. Park Conservation Area on July 13 with instructional canoe & kayaking, then put those new skills to use at the Missouri River Float.

August 24 - 5th Annual Missouri River Float

Beginning in Farley at Schimmel City Access and ending at Platte Landing Park in Parkville. This 16 mile float will take about 4 hours. Shuttle bus provided.

August 3 – Youth Sports Festival

Platte County Sports Commission invites you to learn about all the sports opportunities available for youth in the County and put your skills to the test at the sports stations at Zona Rosa.

RUN DMC- A Run Walk Bike Club -

Partnering with Dr. Ann Riggs at Direct Medical Care and the RUN with DMC Club. A free club that is designed to help residents of all fitness levels live an active lifestyle. We meet once a month typically the 3rd Saturday of each month. RUN WALK BIKE event. All are welcome. Strollers and dogs ok. Meet up is 8am. Earn 1 entry for every Run with DMC event you participate in for a drawing for 2 Dugout Plaza Royals Tickets and Parking Pass-Drawing to be held in May

Sept 13 - Ready Set Glow! Fun Walk

Prairie Creek Greenway-Glow in the Dark/Full moon Fun Walk event. Glow bracelets & Give aways! . Kid friendly! This is going to be a fun event.

October 19 - Art in the Park

Local Artists Displays, Live Music, Activities for Families, Food Vendors. Come out for an interactive day of Art in the Park! Free Admission at Platte Ridge Park. 11am - 2pm. For more information or if interested in being a vendor. Please click here! Vendor Link coming soon.

December 14 - Breakfast with Santa ~ Save the DATE!!
