This Year We are Floating the Duck’s Head on the Platte River
Join Platte County Parks for our FLOAT THE DUCK’S HEAD Platte River float. This 7.75 mile float will begin at Sharp’s Station and finish at the boat ramp on the Duck’s Head at Platte Falls Conservation Area outside Platte Ciy, MO. We will begin the float trip at 9 a.m. and be back to The Duck’s Head by 12 p.m. This event is a “bring your own” event as we will not be providing canoes, kayaks, paddles or life preservers. Kayaks may be rented from KC Kayak and Canoe for a fee.
- Bring your own boat
- Don't forget your paddle, water and life preserver.
- Kayaks, Canoes, or SUPs welcome!
- Distance is 2.5 miles and takes about an hour.
The Duck's Head is a unique situation where the entrance and exit ramps are in the same parking lot. No car shuttling needed.
