Barry Platte Park is a beautiful community park full of sports activities year-round including baseball, softball and volleyball. Other amenities include a shelter house, walking trail, two playgrounds and gazebo.

Amid developed properties in the south part of the County stands Green Hills of Platte Wildlife Preserve. The gently sloping hills encompass a historic cabin, nature trails, wetlands and views of wildlife in their natural habitat.

Platte Purchase Park, a partnership with the City of Kansas City and Clay-Platte Baseball accommodates sports complexes for both baseball and softball. A state or the art playground, shelter and 1.5 mile natural walk trail are also part of phase one of the park |

Spectacular views of Platte County can be seen from the 215-acre Platte Ridge Park.
The park offers both sports & leisure activities. Sports include soccer, football, baseball and cross country. Relaxation can be found at the shelter, playground and fishing pond.

Tucked away in the rolling hills of Platte County off of 92 Highway east of Platte City is Shiloh Spring, the County-owned 18-hole, par 71 golf course. The course offers practice facilities, a driving range, practice greens, pro shop, grill and banquet facilities.
